Since retiring I think I've learned more about myself than ever before. It's been trial and error for sure. And while there has been more than one moment of fear, it's really about find balance: A constant work in progress. For me it's primarily music, then art, photography, and always trying to be mindful of health. What's yours? What do you do to cope with stress? Anxiety? Have you tried anything new that you never considered before? If not, as long as you do no harm to yourself or others, why not take a risk and enjoy exploring the unknown?

Let me share a HUGE stress moment with you - Being selected to create a recording with four complete strangers in only one day. That was the stressor. Out of all the folks who applied in North America, I was selected. MUSORA, the Canadian company that sponsored the recording in 2024, has produced several of these shows that are on YouTube. Let me just say that for you who are afraid to perform in public, you can appreciate the terror I felt. But it is well worth the stress to apply. Who knows? You may be selected! Not only was I the oldest, I also have never played in a band or in front of anyone. And here I was in the middle of it all. Everyone was wonderful. Check it out on YouTube Everyday Musician Episode #2.
